hello friends, I'm ali, I walk really fast, even by new york city standards.
last november, I taught myself how to play chess on chess.com by watching some videoes and have played 1000+ games (mostly rapid) since then. I am still a beginner and my rating is ~550. I plan on playing more in person now.

I read books as well. mostly fiction. currently reading the stranger by camus. I like it so far.

I played with a lot of beyblades growing up. my favorite generation/class of beyblades is the metal series. they are not too big, not too small, fits right in the palm of your hand. the recent generation of beyblades are just too big and they seem to be missing the engineering sophistication that was present in the metal series. this was one of my favorite beyblades.

I love watching music videos and especially covers. There has been some instances where I opened youtube minutes before an interview to prepare/research for the interview and instead ended up watching some cover that youtube suggested. I used to procrastinate a lot during finals in college by just watching covers of music videos.

I am a big fc barcelona fan as most of you might already know. not much to say here. I started watching football when I was very young.

I love to go on walks. sometimes to clear my mind and sometimes just to walk without any destination. If you live in a walkable city I would highly recommend it.
